My city sewer connection is overflowing even when I just run the sink. I think I may have disposed of one to many personal hygiene items. Is there any chemical I can safely pour down my drain that dissolves latex.?
nail polish remover works great. Wear safety glasses. Is there any chemical I can safely pour down my drain that dissolves latex.?
I think you may have to use a 'snake' down your drain. If that doesn't work I'd call the plumber!
try a caustic soda sollution, tht'll normally eat through about nething
ps i'd wear a face mask
dont put condoms down the sink then! lol
No. If it will dissolve the latex, it will also dissolve the pipe.
Sounds like a secondary line plug - which will need to be ran by a plumber. Make sure that it is only secondary line %26amp; not main line.
Do you have water standing in the tub or if you flush the toilet does the water come up in the tub or come out of the base of the toilet? If your answer is yes - you have a main line plug.
If there is only water coming up in your kitchen sink - it is a secondary line.
Call a plumber - even if you can unplug for a short while, the problem will not go away %26amp; will end up getting a lot worse.
I got that situation's your residance is located lower from the label of sewer path. I propose that your drain should lead to low location using some chemical hose approx. 2'; more better. Chemical material is not recommend for your case.
