I don't have a dishwasher but I just get all my sons dishes (bottles, sippy cups and silverwear) first before I do the rest of the dishes that me and my hubby use. I never boiled them when I first used them I just washed them real good. So I wouldn't see why you couldn't use a dishwasher I would just try it with 1 or 2 bottles and nipples to make sure that it wont melt them first before washing them all.





Also don't use latex with your baby because the more exposed to latex you are the greater risk you have for allergies to it. (in the hospital they treat all healthcare workers as if they are allergic to latex just to avoid the reaction to it) (I am a nursing assistant and every time I go to the doctor for anything they always ask me if i have an allergy to it or been exposed to latex for long periods of time.) So just to save your baby the hastle use silicon. Silicon is just a type of rubber just like latex excepte silicon is a lot less likely and harder to become allergic to it is sorta hypoalergenic.Can I dishwash my bottles? Yes, you can use the dishwasher. (Best if you have a 'Sanitize' cycle). The Avent Microwave Steam Sterilizer is also an awesome alternative (which I prefer).

Silicon nipples are the clear ones and are more durable. Latex are a brownish color and do not last as long.

I ran all of mine through the dishwasher after I bought them, and that is how I cleaned them after each use, too. You can get these dishwasher cases as walmart or toys r us that hold the nipples in place, with a compartment on the inside for the rings that the nipples snap into. Silicon is the clear rubbery nipple, and latex is the brownish rubbery nipple. Silicon feels more slippery. Both of my daughters hated silicon.
I boiled the nipples when I first got them. Now I just continue to wash them in the Dishwasher. Make sure you put them on the top rack. There is this little basket that you can buy at Wal*Mart, and you can put the Nipples and Caps and stuff in it, and it fits right into the Dishwasher. I never turn the heat dryer on when I'm washing the bottles in there though. I think that could ruin them.
I agree with Miss Sunshine, I dishwashed mine too. And my daughters both hated the Silicon as well, it is not as soft.
Yes you can put them in the dishwasher. It acutally is better because the temperature of the water is hotter than you would have hand washing. You do not have to boil them. My doctor said soap and water is sufficient.
You should always boil them on the first use, I never trust factories to be clean enough. After the first couple weeks (when I wasn't as paranoid) I put all my bottles in the dishwasher on the sanitize setting, and my baby turned out fine. I don't think the nipples last as long, the dishwasher's pretty rough on them.
