Check which one feels best for you first! I am currently looking for a new mattress myself and I have found that the only thing to do is to go to a mattress store and lie on the different mattresses. According to Consumer Reports, when you find a mattress which may suit you, lie on it as you would at home for at least 15 minutes. Bring your own pillow if that may be an issue with you. Your body will let you know which feels best for you. I was all excited about a memory foam mattress until I tried it for myself. I did not like the feeling at all, but others like it. I am currently looking for a good coil mattress with latex foam, but am not sure which brand to go with.

If you toss and turn they suck! You have to crawl out of that hole you are molded in only to have to mold yourself into a new one. You are constantly remolding yourself.
Latex is good if you have allergies, memory foam is good for back support.
