yes,depending on how many coats youre going to put on,it will start to peel off over a very short period of time if you dont use atleast 3 coats,and even then the top layer may still peel off.Does it matter if i mix alkyd and latex paint together to get a uniform color? Wiil there be a reaction to it?
They won't mix. Latex has a water base and alkyd has an oil base. If you take a look at the label under 'clean-up' you'll see that one cleans up with soap and water but the other needs paint thinner.Does it matter if i mix alkyd and latex paint together to get a uniform color? Oil and water based paint(latex) don't mix. You paint job is not going to last and will all peel off within a few months.

it will curdle like lemon and milk just got to the paint store and tell them what you need if color isnt to big of an issue get mis-tints they are usually only a couple dollars a gallon and if to dark can be cut down with white
