thanks for the info. I'm new on this site and am probably not replying to the answers properly. The wood in question is just a new 1/8 in. mahogany door skin which will be on the exterior side ThanksRe: Latex paint over boiled linseed oil?
Do not seal this with any kind of oil. Seal this door with an exterior oil based polyurethane made by ZAR. They make a two hour dry product that has UV absorbers which is the most critical thing. Do not get hung up on ';Spar'; things. Does nothing for your door. www.ugl.com/zar/...Re: Latex paint over boiled linseed oil?
Try deglosser first then paint but use exterior latex or enamel and don't listen to the other guy, he sells the product he's trying to get you to use. I just do not understand how a new mahogany door got linseed oil on it???????
