Why do latex / rubber gloves make your hands smell like skunk after you wear them?

I agree with these guys. I would venture to say that it is a result of perspiration mixing with the chemical on the glove interior. There's no place for the sweat to escape. Why do your feet stink after wearing socks and shoes all day? Same principle. Why do latex / rubber gloves make your hands smell like skunk after you wear them?
It is not the gloves that make you hands smell bad, it is the sweat. Your hands normally sweat, the Latex traps the sweat next to your skin.

So, you see, it is not the gloves that smell like skunk. IT IS YOU!

LOL - Sorry, couldn't resist. ;-)Why do latex / rubber gloves make your hands smell like skunk after you wear them?
The human hand perspire too. It is the reaction of the perspiration to the synthetic glove material, and the fact that the moisture does not evaporate within the glove that causes the odor.

I suggest that you apply body powder on your hands to absorb the perspiration prior to putting on the gloves.
sweat
It depends on what you touch before and after wearing those gloves. Mostly everything is made with chemicals: money, etc... Touching smelly rubberbands has the same effect.

Wash with anti-bacterial soap.
ya man i hate those things
