I just finished a desk, and don't like the color. Can I repaint directly over the clear topcoat without sanding all over again?Latex paint over acrylic polyurethane?
A light sanding would assure a better bond with the new paint. It would probably peel after awhile otherwise. You just need to sand a little bit with a fine sandpaper, just to rough up the smooth surface.
