Latex paint over boiled linseed oil?

Is it worthwhile protecting a new exterior door panel with boiled linseed oil prior to final painting with exterior latex paint ?Latex paint over boiled linseed oil?
Oil and water don't mix. Some finishes don't stick well to others. Use a compatible product and save the linseed oil for another project for which it is intended, like bare wood. Check out what products are available and suitable for your intended application.Latex paint over boiled linseed oil?
your latex will peal off use a good primer with two coats of high quality 100 % acrylic paint and you will be fine
No. There is one step that you must do. Zinsser makes a product called (?), it is a alcohol shellac based product. Put this on first and then top coat accordingly. If you choose not to use this product, I will quarantee that whatever finish you put on will fail. ***I forgot to ask you what is species if wood is your door? Give us more info.!!
No, linseed oil is not for exterior use without resin in it i.e. spar varnish. You would be much better off with an exterior primer.
The linseed oil will take months to dry so that's out, your paint is going to protect your door. Prime and 2 coats of paint is all you need, Good luck Les the painter
